ProvenancePurchased in the 1940s from a private dealer, Milan, by Carlo Maffel, husband of Cleofe Bavastro (great-aunt of the donor); by descent to their niece, Maria Pietranera, and her husband, Alessandro Rustioni, Milan; by descent to their son, Aldo Rustioni, Milan and Chapel Hill; given to NCMA, 2012.
