Henry Rainald Gage, 6th Viscount Gage (1895– 1982), Firle Place, Sussex, England; [his sale, Christie, Manson & Woods, London, March 7, 1952, no. 127, as The Holy Family, with the Infant Saint John and Saint Anne]; [Koetser Gallery, New York]; sold to NCMA, and partial gift of the North Carolina State Art Society (Robert F. Phifer Bequest), 1952.

[1] This is probably William Young Ottley (1771-1836). No evidence that the Jordaens was sold in one of Ottley's many sales has yet been found.
