DescriptionFrom Scott Rodolitz's 2024 appraisal: Of classical style for the type, the neck rest with gently arching pillow-top extending slightly at either side above the solid strut, carved as a single block with two squared areas inset at either side, creating three raised vertical panels, each with incised linear design elements, the horizontal bottom with similar raised band. The three vertical areas with remains of a blue enamel paint. Carved the same on both sides, fine patina indicating extensive age and use.
