Label TextInterweaving art, architecture, design, engineering, and science, Saraceno’s artworks explore issues that range from environmental sustainability, visionary architecture, interspecies cohabitation, constellations, and the solar system. His ethereal sculptures capture and communicate the beauty and complexity of the natural world. They speak to the ecological and cosmic webs that he sees as connecting all living beings.

Saraceno, who created this work for the NCMA, states, “Like the concrete rings of Gyre standing guard in the Museum Park, the Zonal Harmonic Constellation offers Museum visitors a portal to think differently, gesturing toward an overlapping of multidisciplinary zones of thought, media, and creative practice with one another, emphasizing collaboration and interconnectivity.”
